Home Page

Welcome to the website of Robert Dewar. Bob currently owns and operates a small business that has been successful for 24 years. He has extensive experience working in industry, both as a manager and as a laborer. He is a Navy Vet who served during the Cuban missile crisis under the Kennedy administration. Bob received a BS in food technology from Penn State in 1968 and an MBA from the University of Southern California in 1970.

Bob has written articles which have been published over the years. He is frequently a guest columnist for the Cincinnati Enquirer and also for a historical newsletter that features articles about his hometown of McKeesport, PA.

Bob has just published his first book, "A Savage Factory", www.asavagefacory.com which can be ordered now. It draws on his experience, working in the corporate world. The second book, which is close to being
completed, is a memoir of his growing up poor in Appalachia, in a coal mining community. He and his Dad worked by hand in a small country mine with pick and shovel, a one ton wagon, and a mine pony.

Bob is a fantastic story teller. Family, friends, and customers love to listen to his stories. I feel the readers of this web site and his books will enjoy listening to what he has to say, and to the true life stories that he has to tell.
